Hobbs Boat Inn is conveniently located next to Lympsham's Premier Inn, just off Junction 22 of the M5. This cosy and welcoming pub is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and has a wealth of homely dishes perfect for a family meal.
Kick off your meal with some dough balls and dips (£1.99) or Cajun battered prawns served with tomato salsa and a lightly dressed salad garnish. The main course selection is divided into £4.99, £5.49 and £6.49 sections, and features a lovely spring vegetable risotto, made with thyme butter, rocket and cheese shavings, and a light grilled chicken Caesar salad with garlic croutons. The Continental platter (£11) with its cured meats, olives and cheeses is a great sharing option, as is the seafood platter (£9.50), bursting with the fresh flavours of whitebait, prawn cocktail, fish goujons, scampi and lemon breaded scallops, served with pea ketchup, tartare sauce and a chilli and mandarin dip.
Those calling in on a Sunday can sample the inn's hand-carved Sunday roast, and for the kids there's a 'children's feast' menu. Desserts here are a real treat - indulge in Belgian waffles, served with warm chocolate fudge sauce and cream, or perhaps the fruity apple crumble smothered with sweet, sticky caramel and custard.
