Set in an idyllic location on a North Devon cliff top in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Sandy Cove Hotel has views overlooking the sea and beautiful Exmoor. It's the sort of place which draws people back time and time again to enjoy the amazing location along with the warm relaxed atmosphere and superb cuisine.
Dining here is a fabulous experience; the restaurant is modern, light and airy with stunning views, and the cuisine has been awarded two AA rosettes for its excellence. Dishes are innovative and modern British in style, and all produce used in their creation is fresh and locally sourced. You'll find options such as sea bass with creamed beans, celeriac purée, roasted garlic, sunblush tomatoes and red wine jus or belly of pork stuffed with black pudding, braised red cabbage, mash and cider jus on the menu. Desserts such as chilled chocolate fondant with salted caramel, frosted hazelnuts and vanilla ice cream or vanilla panna cotta with grappa strawberries and pistachio biscotti will have you forgetting the diet - the à la carte selection is served nightly between 6.30pm and 9pm.
There is a fabulous decked terrace where you can enjoy stunning sea views. On request and weather permitted, staff will set you a table to dine on the deck (when ordering from the à la carte menu). For a more casual dining experience there is a bar menu served between noon and 6pm daily, which also features plenty of locally sourced produce. If you're in the mood for a little decadence, afternoon teas and amazing local ice cream are served daily from noon until 6pm - the perfect pick-me-up
