In the summer of 2014, Sharp’s Brewery and Nathan Outlaw teamed up to open The Mariners public house in Rock. Overlooking the Camel Estuary in the heart of Rock, Nathan’s chefs work closely with trusted growers and suppliers to deliver a menu of great seasonal pub food complemented by Sharp’s skilfully brewed beers.
Leading the kitchen, head chef Zack Hawke works with Nathan to create an exciting menu that champions Cornish produce. Emphasis is placed on the beef, which is sourced from suckled native breeds across farms in the South West, and dry-aged on the bone for 28 to 32 days for maximum flavour. Finally, this top-notch beef is cooked over coals for the perfect finish. A variety of steak cuts and sizes are available to be served with superb trimmings of hand-cut chips, Béarnaise sauce and house salad.
Visitors can look forward to enjoying a range of beers from Sharp’s Brewery, as well as those from other select breweries chosen to showcase a vast range of beer styles and flavours. With over 40 beers, ranging from bittersweet hoppy Indian pale ales to crisp Belgian wheat beers, the team is passionate about serving well-brewed, quality beers, and offers something for every palate.
