A traditional country village pub (just two and a half miles from Junction 27 of the M5), Redwoods Inn offers a very warm welcome, and delicious and generous portions in its bar and restaurant. The extensive menu and substantial specials board change regularly and offer a variety of vegetarian alternatives. On Tuesday and Wednesday lunchtimes there is a special senior citizens’ menu, and every day of the week there is a choice of roast meats with appropriate accompaniments. Vegetables are chosen from a separate menu and are certainly not run of the mill. Think red cabbage with apples and cranberries, honey-roasted parsnips, mashed and peppered swede, cauliflower cheese, broccoli, leeks in cream sauce – the list goes on. Children are welcome, and while there is limited parking outside the pub, the village hall car park, 50 yards away, is available for patrons’ use.
