On golden afternoons visitors can take advantage of the sun canopy on the pavement and watch the world go by. Inside, the interior is cool and stylish, creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere.

Varied tastes are catered for thanks to the fi ne selection of contemporary meat, fish and vegetarian dishes featured on the imaginative menu. I decided on the well-seasoned calamari for my starter and followed with a succulent rump steak. My partner opted for the exciting crab, lime and chilli toast for starters, followed by the superb duck breast with chestnut potatoes and pear jam for mains. Delectable desserts of passion fruit panna cotta and a sugar-toasted waffle drizzled in maple syrup with a dollop of vanilla bean ice cream are the sort you never want to finish. There are loads of great reasons to visit Oscars, but at the top of the list is the chance to savour fi ne dining quality cuisine
