Deep in the heart of the Blackdown Hills is the Half Moon Inn, a real hidden gem. Tucked away amidst beautiful countryside, without being hard to find, is this wonderfully authentic pub. This is a traditional country inn surrounded by footpaths, just waiting to be explored. Featured in The Good Pub Guide, a member of CAMRA - with an ever-changing selection of real ales - and a silver Taste of the West award to its name, the Half Moon offers an excellent mix of good traditional food, like their now famous pies or beer-battered cod and chips. More contemporary offerings sit happily alongside. Try sea bass with chilli, ginger, lemongrass and pak-choi, fresh scallops from Looe Bay or mussels from River Fowey. Families enjoy the child-friendly garden, while couples can get away from it all with a glass of something delicious from the wine list, and gaze upon the fabulous views
