The Pilot Inn

The Pilot Inn is the place to go, whatever the weather. You can enjoy panoramic views of the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal from the lovely garden, or from the conservatory in winter. Choose from the 'modest' or 'main' sections of the menu - the handmade burger, made from local beef, topped with bacon and Double Gloucester and served with chips, onion rings and barbecue sauce, is delicious, as is the grilled sea bass fillet served with sautéed potatoes and coriander salsa. There are beautifully prepared pub favourites too, including slow-roasted lamb shank and 'surf and turf'. If you're visiting for lunch, a snack menu provides a selection of freshly baked baguettes and smaller dishes.
