Since opening in 2014, Meat 59 has become one of Devon’s go-to spots for top-notch burgers. Due to the success of the Exeter and Torquay branches, Meat 59 has now opened a new restaurant in Newton Abbot. This quirky, family-run restaurant has won multiple awards including being named the second best burger in the UK by TripAdvisor, and, most recently, winning in the Exeter Living Award’s restaurant category for 2019.
The owners source as much of their meat as possible from local farms in the South West, in addition to locally sourced cider and beer, to ensure you’re getting a true taste of what the South West has to offer. The most popular burger known far and wide is the Smoking Cow, comprising a Meat 59 beef patty, bourbon glaze, crispy onions, smoked cheese, gem lettuce and smoky mayo. Incredible chicken and veggie options are available as well as huge no frills ice cream milkshakes made with local ice cream. Take away is also available and whilst you wait to collect your meal, why not grab a local beer?
You can also catch Meat 59 on the road during the summer at the best local events and festivals. Follow Meat 59 on Facebook or Instagram for the latest updates.
