Mango’s

Situated on the banks of the River Exe, surrounded by historic buildings and cobbled streets, you’ll find Mango’s. This contemporary café is set in a 19th-century quayside cellar and the long room has been tastefully fitted with industrial-style lighting and comfy booths to create a laid-back ambience. The outdoor seating – which offers exquisite views – is ideal for al fresco dining.

The amiable team offers guests of every age a warm welcome – kids and adults alike will adore the ice cream milkshakes – and you can even bring your dog following a walk along the river. Food is served throughout the day at Mango’s and the chefs prioritise the use of locally sourced produce – they believe it enhances the flavour and quality of a dish. Early-birds and late-risers alike will be thrilled to find that the breakfast menu is served from 9am until noon. Start your day with the hearty breakfast plate, which combines smoked bacon, scrambled eggs, sausages, baked beans, hash browns and toast, or opt for a healthy dish of smashed avocado on toast. For those with a sweet-tooth, there are sugared waffles and warm chocolate chip banana bread, served with summer berry compote. Combine your breakfast with a cup of freshly brewed coffee, a refreshing smoothie or one of the café’s teas.
