The Olive Branch is situated in the quaint town of Wimborne, just a stone's throw away from the bustling market square. There is ample seating for diners, from the drawing room with leather, throne-like chairs, to the pantry hall which spills out onto a beautiful and spacious covered terrace, with heaters should the evening turn a little chillier.
Dishes are prepared in the stainless steel open kitchen, where the team of talented chefs create fresh, seasonal dishes and use regionally sourced food wherever possible. The venue also has its own herb garden. To begin, we opted for a sharing plate of mushroom and lentil Scotch eggs, pea and mint quiche, and a selection of market vegetables and dips that all went down a treat. Afterwards, I was drawn to the specials board, choosing delicate gnocchi with courgette, cherry tomatoes, basil and Parmesan. Moreish rich pork loin steak, served with buttery mash and a sauce of red onion, apple, white wine and mustard, was my partner's choice, and he enjoyed it thoroughly. To finish off the evening, I indulged in the smooth creme brulée, while my partner polished off the citrusy homemade lemon tart.
With friendly service and delicious food, The Olive Branch is the perfect choice for a wonderful dining experience
