This wonderful establishment has been serving up traditional afternoon tea since 1923. Founder Mary Marley originally used her own living room to offer some much-needed refreshment and a friendly chat to passersby. Today, this family-owned business is run by Mary's grandson, Simon, who keeps up family traditions by using the very same tried-and-tested recipes his grandmother did.
Woodland Tea House is open throughout the year, offering tea-drinkers a charming room and a picturesque garden. So, stop by and appreciate a Devonshire cream tea - perhaps with Ceylon, lemon and ginger or peppermint tea - a homemade cake or a pot of house blend, all the while enjoying the wonderful Devon countryside. The tea house is open from spring until the nights start drawing in for winter.
