Housed in the old Smiles Brewery Tap, and reinvented by the local prize-winning Butcombe Brewery, Colston Yard pub and restaurant successfully maintains whispers of the building's past, while embracing the present with its tastefully redecorated interior. As a specialist beer pub, it's no surprise to find an awe-inspiring drinks list. Pride of place naturally goes to Butcombe's own range of beers and Ashton Press cider, but you'll also find an extensive selection of over 50 classic beers from across the UK and around the world. Their selection is regularly updated and there are always between three and six guest ale pumps and four guest kegs, as well as a large range of speciality spirits.

Conveniently situated for the city centre, the BRI and Bristol University, Colston Yard is perfect for a tasty lunch (discounts are offered to NHS staff and students). In the evening, find a table in the dining room and enjoy a three-course meal with great service - perhaps enjoy a meal prepared with one of their ales, such as Butcombe beer-battered fish. On Sundays you can refuel and relax with a mouth-watering classic roast dinner. As many ingredients as possible are locally sourced and free range.
