A fish and chip supper is a great British tradition. Fresh fish in light crispy batter and a freshly cooked, large portion of chips can work wonders for a rumbling tummy.
Superfish in Surrey is continuing this special tradition. This group of seven restaurants and takeaways was a finalist in the 'Best Multiple Fish and Chip Operator' category at the National Fish & Chip Awards in 2013, so you know that quality is a given.
Once seated in one of the restaurants, there is no hurry to make a choice from the extensive menu, which includes delights such as cod, huss, scampi, fillet of plaice, haddock and half a chicken. When available, there is also salmon fillet, lemon sole, skate wing and plaice on the bone, all fried in the traditional way to a unique Superfish recipe. All dishes are served with chipped potatoes, hot French bread and butter and a choice of pickles and sauces, as well as a prawn sampler for starters. Cod is served in sizes small to large and there's even a 'Moby Dick' size for those with particularly hearty appetites. For the children, a special menu is available, too.
Superfish is also licensed, so you'll find a small, reasonably price wine list and a range of value-for-money soft drinks. There is also a small dessert menu for those who fancy a little something sweet to conclude their traditional British meal. If you haven't tried Superfish yet, you've been missing out. With restaurants throughout Surrey, you're never far from the perfect fish and chips
