The Flintgate

Located in the town of Weybridge, The Flintgate is a bustling ale and cider house serving up a selection of drinks as well as tasty homemade food. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by the cosy and relaxed dining space that’s ideal for couples, friends and families alike.

The various food menus really do have something for everyone; at lunchtime, you’ll find an array of tasty dishes on offer. Hot jacket potatoes and homemade sandwiches provide delicious snacks for those with a light appetite, whilst heartier lunch specials include vegetarian linguine and smoked gammon with eggs and chips, which are also available to take away.

Later in the day, diners can choose from the main menu. Starters including the seared scallops with butternut squash purée and grilled chorizo are cooked to perfection, the mussels with citrus butter are full of flavour and there’s a delicious beetroot Carpaccio dish that comes with toasted pine nuts, rocket and a creamy goat’s cheese crumble. For your main, you’ll be spoilt for choice with a range of burgers and juicy grilled steaks – the Big Smoke burger comprising a tasty beef patty, smoked brisket, sumptuous Swiss cheese and pickles is legendary.

The kitchen brigade also serves several well-loved British pub favourites, including crispy beer-battered haddock with chunky chips and mushy peas, the panfried calf’s liver with smoked pancetta and bubble and squeak, and hearty Sunday roasts.

To go with your food, The Flintgate offers an extensive range of drinks. Beer, served from cask, keg, bottles and cans, are sourced from small-batch, independent producers and from the pub’s Big Smoke Brew Co. brewery. The extensive wine and spirits list also includes a huge selection of classic and flavoured gins, rum, whisky, and red, white and sparkling wine.
