Start by sharing a selection of cold and hot mezze, ranging from classics such as hummus and falafels through to more unusual delicacies that include frogs’ legs and lamb sweetbreads. You might then choose one of the many appetising salads or perhaps try one of the more substantial dishes, many of which are made to recipes from the owner’s Lebanese family. There’s a whole host of delicious seafood dishes, as well as lamb and chicken stews and grills, and a treasure trove of delights for vegetarians.

Desserts are all homemade and include classics such as baklava and halva, a selection of crêpes, and artisan ice creams and sorbets. Meejana makes a delightful setting for a special occasion and the chefs can even provide beautiful custom-made cakes. Accompany the dishes with something from Meejana’s great selection of wines, including varieties from Lebanon and Syria, and finish with an Arabic coffee with cardamom or a Lebanese orange blossom tisane for the perfect end to a refined and convivial meal.
