Marco Pierre White Steakhouse – Southampton

Having opened in mid-2017, the latest addition to the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill family can be found at the Grand Harbour Hotel. Stylish and contemporary, the eagerly awaited restaurant saw its first iteration at the Grand Harbour as a pop-up kitchen. Exceedingly well-received, it quickly became apparent that a more permanent venture was warranted at the location. The eager team that has brought the new restaurant to bear comprises a capable and talented bunch of kitchen and front-of-house crew, all of whom harbour genuine drive and passion for what they do.

First-class cuts of steak from Royal Warrant-appointed butcher, Campbell Brothers, are at the heart of Marco’s overarchingly British bill of fare, showcased alongside a plethora of timeless classics and Marco Pierre White signatures. Guests might start with Marco’s hallmark beetroot and goat’s cheese salad, before pressing on to something from the range of 28-day-aged steaks served with a choice of triple-cooked chips, pommes frites or green salad. For dessert, opt for Cambridge burnt cream, a reinvention of – or perhaps even the original concept for – the classic crème brûlée. The menu is complemented by well-curated wine and cocktail lists, and guests have the option of booking a room at the adjoining Grand Harbour Hotel.
