The Queen's Head

A traditional, family-run freehouse at the heart of the village of Horspath, The Queen's Head is a true bastion of the community. Horspath is home to The Shotover Brewery, so you'll find the bar well stocked with local brews. The à la carte menu might feature the likes of potted shoulder of pork to start, perhaps to be followed by a cut of 28-day-matured steak with triple-cooked chips. I recommend trying the beef and Scholar pie, especially if the weather is a little chilly. This delicious pie features Horspath ale, chunky pieces of beef and a puff pastry lid and will really warm those cockles on a wintery day.
