The Canteen

Positioned on Portsmouth’s seafront, The Canteen occupies an archway in the newly regenerated barracks at Hot Walls. The decking area is arguably the best spot in which to sit and enjoy a delicious freshly brewed coffee or a refreshing, cool sauvignon whilst absorbing views of the Solent.

During the summer you can sample mouth-watering ice cream from The Hut. Whether you visit for breakfast, lunch or dinner, you can be sure that the food is created using fresh, local produce.

Kick-start your day with lemon and chilli smashed avocado on toast with slow-roasted tomatoes, or tuck into caramelised red onion, garlic mushrooms, and Swiss cheese on toasted sourdough for a tasty lunch.

Dinner is served Thursday to Sunday, with flavoursome dishes like crabcakes, and spicy lamb massamam curry. Visit The Canteen to indulge in historic surrounds, beautiful views and delectable foodie delights.
