The Woodmans Arms
Pubs and Bars with Restaurants

Station Road, Wootton, Isle of Wight, PO33 4RQ

With blue skies overhead and countryside in every direction, it's not difficult to understand why proprietors Trevor and Cheryl fell in love with The Woodmans Arms. Having upped sticks and moved from Lincolnshire to the Island in 2012, they have firmly established their family pub as a destination for visitors making the most of the sunshine in the pretty beer garden and patrons from the surrounding area looking for a hearty meal and a fine pint of ale.
The first thing that changed when this husband-and-wife team took the reins was the menu. A more concise selection of dishes was compiled, but still offering plenty of choice and variation. Light bites like filled panini and baguettes are the ideal summer snacks, while wholesome mains like cottage pie and chargrilled burgers make for a more filling meal. You'll also find fish dishes, a children's menu (£4.50 for a main course) and a senior citizens' menu, which offers a main and a tea or coffee, from Monday to Friday, midday until 3pm, for just £5.75 - proving that value for money is also a priority at this family-orientated pub. Daily specials add yet more choice, and on Wednesdays you can take advantage of the steak night offers. There's a popular monthly quiz, barbecues in the summer months and regular live music to enjoy. Parties, weddings, wakes and other functions are all catered for here, with a selection of buffet menus to choose from.
At The Woodmans Arms, you can sit back while the kids have their own adventure in the play area, sip your pint and relax into the Isle of Wight way of life
