On one side, an elegant country dining area encased in wooden panelling allows owners Karl and Lisa to explore their culinary finesse; on the other lies a welcoming traditional pub that is perfect for catching the game or shooting pool with friends whilst sipping a pint.
A wide variety of menu options suit all palates and budgets. There are bar snacks, a £6 lunch selection, children's menu, specialised vegetarian dishes and an early bird menu that offers two courses for £10 from Monday to Thursday, 5pm to 7pm. The main menu houses wholesome plates of breaded sole fillets with handmade chips and the popular Bird in Hand homemade burger, alongside exotic offerings such as the Thai monkfish and prawn curry.
