This spacious venue, conveniently situated on Fareham Road, provided a refreshing change and was a delight to visit. The venue has been transformed beyond recognition, the traditional pub furnishings replaced with stylish, art-house decor. Arty’s @ The Coach House has now been open for about a year and is already popular with locals, yet it has also garnered a brilliant reputation with visitors from further afield.
Thanks to the animated bar area and dining space that plays homage to vintage design, the pleasure of a visit to Arty’s extends beyond the incredible food. Italian cuisine makes up most of the menu, while Mediterranean dishes and mouth-watering sides also demand attention. An award-worthy range of pizzas is offered alongside homemade pasta specials, and a delicious burger was made a permanent feature on the menu on the demand of customers. On our visit, we began with a medley of starters including baked Camembert paired with Julie’s homemade chilli jam. For the main course, the L’Atomica pizza showcased a delicious combination of pepperoni, ripped mozzarella and fresh basil leaves atop a light and crispy base. For an indulgent alternative, we also selected the ham, spinach and ricotta calzone. Food portions are plentiful; though the pizza defeated us, we were able to take the remainder home to enjoy the next day.
A great menu, reasonable prices and a dedicated team make Arty’s a winning combination. Julie and the team deserve a prosperous future, and I am confident that their success will continue to grow.
