Sevendials is a family-owned restaurant in the heart of Seven Dials in Brighton, serving award-winning modern European food made from the freshest seasonal ingredients. Sam Metcalfe runs a team of food-lovers who deliver time after time. The cooking reflects the seasons rather than current fashions, and quality is paramount, with locally caught fish, game in season and desserts that are a delight. You'll find a complimentary soup taster on arrival, charming fresh flowers on each table and inspired bathrooms. A former Lloyd's Bank building, the decor of the contemporary 55-seater restaurant is impressive. Downstairs, in the vault, there is a funky private room for 20, which provides a unique setting for private parties. For alfresco dining, the large south-facing Continental-style summer terrace with its hard-wood deck and heaters is open during the warmer months. The fantastic-value set lunch menu offers two courses for £10 and three for £14, and the à la carte menu is ever changing, currently offering dishes such as roast rump of Sussex lamb with ratte potatoes, English asparagus and a rosemary jus - inspired and delicious.
Sevendials is a popular wedding reception venue for up to 60 guests. They are licensed to hold ceremonies at the restaurant and can offer drinks and canapés on the summer terrace, a disco, and dinner served in the elegant restaurant
