Just a mile and a half from Aylesbury town centre, in the quiet village of Broughton, this newly refurbished inn has all the atmosphere of a friendly country pub. After a long day at work, it's the perfect place to unwind with a hearty meal and a drink or two. Headed by husband-and-wife-team Gary and Teri Moult, the Doghouse is a family-run business, dedicated to serving home-cooked food served with a cheery smile. On arrival you will be greeted by a professional, friendly team, on hand to make your visit a pleasant experience.
The Doghouse Inn's proper Sunday roast has become known as one of the best in town, with a choice of half a chicken, a leg of pork, rib-eye of beef, turkey, third of a shoulder of lamb or half a boneless duck. Fine game is also available when in season and vegetarians will be pleased to find some interesting homemade options on the menu. All this is served complete with scrumptious freshly cooked vegetables, the biggest Yorkshire pudding you've ever seen and piping-hot homemade gravy.
With free WiFi throughout the inn, this is the perfect place to catch up with your emails over a cappuccino, or for a business lunch in an informal setting. In the evening, candlelight gives the place a cosy ambience. A wide variety of tantalising evening meals, from a kilo of moules mariniéres to a choice of steaks (choose from sirloin to 20oz rib-eye) are available, all freshly cooked to your specification. For those with a sweet tooth, treats like crepes with Belgian chocolate and ice cream await you on the desserts menu.
