Conceived by the Fresh Element company, Six is a stylish, modern restaurant located on the top floor of the prestigious BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Arts. Diners can take in stunning panoramic views of Newcastle's cityscape and Gateshead Quayside as they enjoy a fantastic menu and specially selected wine list.
Head chef Adam Hegarty creates beautiful dishes that draw on the best local ingredients of the season. Adam has gained a wealth of experience working up and down the country in prestigious restaurants, from the Black Door in the North East to Claridges in London. His signature dish - chicken liver and foie gras parfait with toasted brioche - is very popular with diners. Adam never fails to design dishes that tantalise every tastebud - from a delicious orange poached halibut, accompanied by buttered kale with hazelnuts and white bean velouté, to a light yet delectable three-layered brownie with cherries and milk ice cream.
Six's highly trained staff are always on hand to ensure a stress-free night; food is brought to your table promptly and your glass never empties. Diners can stay a little longer and enjoy a drink in Six's viewing lounge. With its floor-to-ceiling windows, the lounge showcases amazing views up the River Tyne and offers a relaxing space to sit back and unwind before heading home
