Class and quality are what you'll be treated to at The Brasserie Restaurant - the Tower Hotel's main dining room. You'll be hard pressed to find a more beautifully situated venue; here, you can enjoy stunning views of Tower Bridge while you dine. The decor is sleek and contemporary while remaining understated and tasteful. The panoramic glass frontage allows the sunlight to pour in during the day, while in the evening it displays the atmospheric London nightscape.
However impressive the scenery, the emphasis at The Brasserie really is on the food - you'll find creativity and originality in abundance on the menu. Speaking personally with the chefs, we were told of their desire to create innovative cuisine and use ingredients in fresh new ways. Their passion was clear and it really shone through in the food. To single out any one dish would be a discredit to the rest, as everything we were served was outstanding - from the beetroot cured salmon with baked brioche and creamed wild mushrooms to the Anglo Indian lamb shank which was cooked to a tee and simply melted in the mouth. Other offerings which showcased the chefs' gastronomic talents included the pan-fried fillet of sea bream and the steak and kidney pie. Presentation was elegant and thoughtful, and each dish looked as good as it tasted.
Enjoy a glass of something from the enticing wine list while you dine. My guest and I sipped a well-recommended Prosecco while soaking up the river views from the terrace. The treatment we received throughout was exceptional - the staff were happy to offer informed recommendations and were always on hand should we need them. After rounding off our meal with a medley of exquisite desserts, including apple tarte tatin and fig creme brulée (both of which epitomised the creative talents of the chefs), we were two very satisfied customers. The Brasserie at the Tower Hotel is not just about great food; it's the whole package - we'll be recommending it to friends and family
