Burger & Lobster - West India Quay

As soon as you step into Burger & Lobster in the beautiful Harvey Nichols, Knightsbridge, you’ll be blown away. The open-plan restaurant mirrors the fun and relaxed dining experience and the ambience was buzzing throughout our visit. My dining partner and I were greeted by a welcoming hostess who seated us in a cosy and quiet corner of the restaurant. We had the perfect view of the busy bar and kitchen, so were able to watch the bar staff make our delicious cocktails. My lobstar Martini was fresh and punchy, and my partner’s barrel-aged Old Fashioned was equally impressive.

We started with crispy calamari, served with lemon mayonnaise and spicy tomato dip, along with perfectly executed prawn and lobster croquettes. Although the menu is small, it is definitely not limited – all dishes have been crafted to perfection. I chose the 1.5lb lobster and was given the option to have it half grilled and half steamed. The waitress was incredibly diligent and clearly very experienced as she provided us with a detailed explanation of all the options. My partner was impressed with his 10oz Nebraskan beefburger. Both of our dishes were served with fries and a tasty side salad topped with Parmesan and balsamic. We also added truffle mayo – a rich and heavenly accompaniment. Despite being completely satisfi ed from the first two courses, we couldn’t resist a dessert to share. The classic New York cheesecake had a fruity, berry compote drizzled over it.

Burger & Lobster has nine locations all over London, so no matter where you are in the city you won’t be far from a delicious meal, and an upcoming new menu offers plenty of choice to returning fans. The food, drinks and service were all exceptional – a visit is a must.
