Muriels Kitchen - South Kensington
British

1-3 Pelham Street, South Kensington, SW7 2ND

Boasting three charming central London locations and a mouth-watering menu, Muriel's Kitchen has gained a loyal following in the three years since the fi rst branch opened in South Kensington. Run by husband and wife Charlotte and Sam, Muriel's Kitchen pays homage to Nana Muriel's own 1950s kitchen, presenting some of the most unique interiors in the capital and possessing a now-famous reputation for hearty seasonal meals made with love and served up in very generous portions.
All three Muriel's Kitchens are open throughout the day, and offer a cosy, welcoming ambience and a brilliant buzz. The mosaic tiles, comfy velvet tub chairs, shelves adorned with bric-a-brac, bird-cage lamps and fun swinging seats are just some of the quirky features that give Muriel's a distinct feel. As for the food, with each new month comes a new menu and, using the freshest British ingredients, the team craft their dishes to make the most of seasonal produce.
Why not begin your day with Muriel's signature breakfast, or a hearty brunch? Whether you're fuelling up before you head off to see the sights or en route to work, there's everything from freshly baked pastries and homemade granola to blueberrypancakes and traditional English breakfasts; made with very special organic Clarence Court eggs, the eggs royale is a particular highlight. If you're stopping by later in the day for lunch or dinner, you might like to start with gooey baked Camembert served with cranberry and crispy crostinis (they're perfect for dipping), before moving on to a hearty main course of Muriel's famous beef lasagne with chunky beetroot mash, feta and crispy kale. If you've still got room, enjoy an irresistible chocolate and Guinness mini pint cake, or perhaps a banoffee cupcake to finish - they're firm favourites with regulars. To accompany these dishes, Muriel's offers a wide variety of drinks, ranging from carefully selected wines and tasty ales from Suffolk-based St Peter's Brewery to refreshing freshly squeezed juices and signature smoothies.
With an ever-changing menu, friendly service and a homely atmosphere, it's safe to say that your first visit to Muriel's won't be your last
