Operations director Yann Chevris, Michelin-starred chef Thierry Laborde and celebrity florist Pascal Lavorel, who have been friends for over a decade, fulfilled a longstanding dream by opening an authentic bistro du coin tucked away in a narrow street in Knightsbridge Green.

Chabrot, an intimate 65-cover restaurant that spans two floors, is reminiscent of a classic French bistro in design. The interior features the atmospheric lighting found in traditional bistros, classic striped table linen and monochromatic photography depicting scenes of rural France. These touches create a relaxed and informal environment that highlights the elegant simplicity of traditional, good-value bistro cooking.

The menu comprises dishes from across southern France, including simple yet excellent hot and cold hors d'oeuvres such as finely sliced raw beef with truffle dressing; mains including thinly sliced grilled veal with sage and rosemary, and lamb chops from Quercy; and a selection of desserts such as crème brûlée or gariguette strawberries with whipped cream.
