Situated opposite London’s famous Smithfield Market, The Bishops Finger takes pride in its quality meat offering and fresh market produce, and is well known in the local area for its crowd-pleasing bangers and mash. During my dinner visit, I enjoyed a trio of plump and juicy sausages: lamb and mint, wild boar and apple, and traditional Cumberland, served atop creamy homemade mash and finished with proper meat gravy. Next, from a selection of desserts – not advertised but always available – I chose gooey chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, which left me feeling utterly satisfied. In addition to the excellent sausages, you’ll also discover a wide range of quality ales, tempting sharing boards and filling sandwiches, and a lively, friendly atmosphere in which to enjoy it all. Also boasting a large function room, The Bishops Finger really does have it all.
