Located within the Lifehouse Spa & Hotel and surrounded by 130 acres of beautiful gardens and parklands, the Lifehouse restaurant is a truly wonderful place to relax and enjoy some remarkable food. Whether you choose to visit for lunch, perhaps as part of a spa day when dining is a very relaxed, casual affair, or whether you choose the more formal, intimate atmosphere of an evening meal, Lifehouse will certainly not disappoint. Executive chef Ugo Simonelli, executive head chef Paolo Squillario and their team are passionate about creating exceptional food, using seasonal, locally produced ingredients whenever possible. The menu has a defi nitively Italian influence, reflecting Ugo’s heritage, and the flavours and textures are simply divine.
We selected our meal from the fabulous à la carte menu, with my companion choosing a risotto starter followed by free-range chicken breast with cauliflower and almond couscous and pomegranate salad. I chose cured Italian coppa ham with salad, followed by a seafood stew that was brimming with a mouth-watering array of seafood and positively bursting with flavour. A divine lemon and lime cheesecake, and a rather delicious fruit tart rounded off our dining experience perfectly.
The restaurant also serves a delicious breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. A traditional and tasty Sunday lunch can be enjoyed at the very reasonable price of £19.50 for two courses, or £23.50 for three courses.
