From summer 2017, the gardens will also be home to eight barn-style bedrooms.
In its shiny new guise, The Eltisley has been remodelled into a fresh, dapper and debonair food and drink establishment, which offers a sumptuous menu that presents an original take on classic grill-style dining. Designed by director and chef-patron Craig Scott, and head chef Rob Balchin, the menu combines traditional cooking techniques with exciting modern flavours. They promise theatrical twists and the menu is also gluten-free. You might start with the sticky beef rib. Pleasantly light for a beef dish, the meat is packed full of flavour and falls off the bone. The accompanying pickled salad adds a delicious sharpness that cuts through the sweet sauce. For your main course, try the tronchon of halibut with grilled baby gem salad – the fresh and vibrant flavours complement each other perfectly. The Eltisley also offers deliciously succulent steaks, and parties of ten or more can pre-order the likes of whole lobster, suckling pig and côte de boeuf. To finish your meal on a sweet note, opt for the indulgent toasted marshmallow skewer with chocolate sauce and summer berries, or perhaps the dark chocolate and cherry torte with Cointreau sauce.
To accompany your meal, there’s a wide range of classic cocktails, alongside signature options that are unique to The Eltisley. The impressive list of world wines provides a tipple to accompany every dish, while the bar has a selection of real ales and fruit ciders on tap, including a delightful rhubarb flavour.
