The Eaton Oak has been an established part of Paul and Karen Beer’s family of successful pubs since 2010. The team has built up a sterling reputation – not to mention a loyal fan base – which comes as no surprise given the principles the team works to. Fresh, local produce, wholesome food and top-notch service provide solid foundations for a very enjoyable dining experience.
The menus offer a range of light lunches and a host of indulgent dinner dishes. For mains you might like to try the slow-cooked pork belly, fresh salmon fillet and tiger prawns, or vegetarian dish of butternut, Gruyère and quinoa roulade, which should be sampled by meat-lovers too. House favourites include hearty homemade burgers, and there’s a great selection of seafood specialities, featuring the likes of haddock and prawn Mornay. Much of the seafood comes direct from local merchants, so you’ll always find fresh, quality fish. The regularly changing list of homecooked specials and table d’hote menus extends your options even further, so diners are simply spoilt for choice.
The bar is well stocked – as any good British pub’s bar should be – with a great choice of ale and lager and a superb wine list. Conveniently located for those on their travels, The Eaton Oak is also a great shout for an overnight stay.
