Barda Restaurant & Bar

�Situated in the heart of Chelmsford, Barda is well known amongst local foodies for its convivial atmosphere and impeccable food. Tracy Rose took over the restaurant in 2006 and has since enjoyed deservedly great success - Barda was a finalist at the Essex Food and Drink Awards 2010 and has featured in both <i>The Good Food Guide</i> and the <i>Michelin Guide</i>. The decor is chic, with a subtle and stylish colour scheme. The menu features European cuisine with a twist and the extensive wine list is well-matched to the food. Barda is informal enough for a quick lunch, but booking for an evening meal is highly recommended. Menus change depending on the local produce available, but diners can expect to find such culinary delights as pan-fried duck breast with celeriac, parsnip, muscat wine and pomegranate sauce. There are several set menus, which are priced to suit all pockets, and a take-out service is also available. A relaxed venue with real panache, Barda is a real treat.
