Anyone who has seen Mr Oliver's TV programmes should have a good idea of the calibre of cuisine delivered by Jamie's Italian. In a nutshell, it's the wholesome, rustic fare - using excellent ingredients and exhibiting incredible attention to detail - that is the reason for a mounting legion of Cambridgeshire fans. Jamie's extensive menu is filled to bursting with authentic Italian favourites, as well as a number of more international dishes to cater to varying tastes and, with the option to enjoy pasta in starter or main-course form, diners are afforded the chance to mix and match a number of exciting flavours and still keep within their budget.

This theme continued throughout the evening of our visit. You won't be disappointed with the house wines, which are not only very reasonably priced but are well-placed to complement the majority of dishes on the menu.

Willingly trusting the recommendations of the knowledgeable waiting staff, we found every dish to be simply divine - from the visually impressive black angel hair spaghetti with Brixham Bay diver-caught scallops, anchovies and capers, to the gorgeously sticky chocolate, raspberry and amaretto brownie with vanilla ice cream. Overall, a thoroughly impressive dining experience, sure to please those looking to indulge and offering something to suit every palate and most wallets.
