Hidden out of view on Trinity Street is Cambridge’s newest bar, 2648 Cambridge. Owing to a takeover, what used to be The Vaults is now 2648, a bar and restaurant dedicated to food, booze and music. The owners have taken inspiration from their background in the music industry, and have built a venue to celebrate their love of it. Vintage sofas and reclaimed tables are surrounded by old records, gig posters, and even a gramophone. The menu’s focus is on American bar food, featuring four different burgers, ribs, hotdogs and wings with a range of sauces, including what they describe as ‘hella hot sauce’. There’s also a selection of inventive cocktails, and with happy hour from 5pm-9pm every day, you can get two for just £9. Say hello on Twitter at @2648Cambridge.
