The White Hart Inn is believed to date back to the 13th century and has retained its unique historic feel with ancient timbers and unexpected nooks and crannies. In days gone by inns like this brewed their own ale, and in 2016 The White Hart Inn went back to its roots when the team installed a brewery in the old coach house.
Now featuring in CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide, The White Hart Inn offers three home-brewed beers along with guest brews that are available throughout the year. In 2018 a distillery was also installed so that the team could make its own gin. Now Halstead London Dry Gin is proving hugely popular.
The White Hart Inn’s restaurant serves well-executed traditional English food, that’s cooked fresh to order. Where possible the ingredients are locally sourced from local producers. The specials board always has a variety of delicious alternatives that change regularly.
With its four letting bedrooms, traditional food and hospitality, The White Hart Inn is a great place to experience good ale and gin made on the premises, fine food and a unique historic charm.
