As Leicester CAMRA's Pub of the Month in November 2013, Alan and Sarah Merryweather's The Black Horse is a certifiably great village pub. Having been refurbished in late 2014, this traditional inn can now offer its home-cooked traditional menu, speciality burger menu and ten different real ales and ciders in a very homely and comfortable setting. The Black Horse also regularly hosts several real ale festivals each year, with the Summer Beach Festival being the largest owing to its fantastic range of 40 beers and ciders to choose from. The Merryweathers aren't stopping there, either, as April 2015 will see the opening of an outside bar and barbecue shack that will cater for all who decide to come and relax in the large award-winning planted garden.
