Husband-and-wife team Paul and Ashley Hadfield have been creating fond memories and serving up good food for their diners since 1987, which must make Ashfields one of the longest-standing restaurants in Leicestershire. Found in the village of Earl Shilton, just off the new bypass and with ample car parking opposite, Ashfields has made its name as a destination dining venue. The restaurant is light and airy at lunchtime, and cosy and intimate in the evening.

The style of the menu is modern British food with hints of Mediterranean influence. Dishes are prepared to order and Paul and Ashley are able to accommodate customers with special dietary requirements. A superb selection of menus is available, offering superb value and first-rate dishes. As well as a fantastic à la carte, a two and three-course lunch menu, priced from £11.55, is available on weekdays, and there's a Posh one-course supper menu on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, offering one course and a bottle of house wine for £25.95 for two people. Be sure to visit for the ever-popular three-course Sunday lunch for £22.95, served until 4pm, and to take advantage of the Monday night two-for-one offer - bookings are essential.
