Nestled in the charming village of Castleton, close to Peveril Castle, Peveril Tea Rooms welcomes all visitors, both two-legged and four. Whether you’re cycling, walking or just visiting for the day, it’s well worth fitting in a visit to this delightful spot. Guests can enjoy breakfast, light lunch or afternoon tea, and the traditional menu uses the freshest ingredients from local suppliers. I enjoyed a classic jacket potato with cheese, salad, and homemade coleslaw, paired with a dressed carrot salad. The cream tea I selected to follow was really exceptional – the chef’s homemade scones, the strawberry jam and the clotted cream were perfectly complemented by a lovely pot of tea. There’s even a handy takeaway service for guests who want something tasty on the go.
