With one-of-a-kind views of Brighton seafront, diners will be pushed to find an equally pleasant restaurant along the main seaside stretch. Established in the same spot for over 40 years, The Plaza offers an impressive menu featuring Italian, English and Greek flavours.

Amongst the array of cuisine, it is their fresh seafood dishes which really stand out. To tempt you on the starter menu, you will find delicious mussels cooked in four different ways with a choice of four different sauces, including classic mariniere and zingy tomato, as well as calamari and succulent tiger prawns. After sampling these dishes, we awaited our main courses with eager anticipation. Opting for the most popular dishes on their menu – the salmon fillet and tuna steak fillet, both served with a selection of vegetables – we fully realised the chef’s talent. As well as seafood, their menu also caters for anyone looking for more traditional food, such as sirloin steak and chunky chips, jacket potatoes and authentic Italian pizzas. Their dessert menu is not to be missed, with homemade vanilla and lemon cheesecake top of my list, closely followed by the sticky toffee pudding and creme brulée. Catering for all tastes, offering a varied lunch and dinner menu at reasonable prices and available for party occasions large or small, The Plaza is perfect for anyone wanting to take in the sea views and indulge in some classic, high quality food.
