A delightful drive through leafy country lanes brings you to the popular Cranborne Garden Centre, where you can spend a little time browsing in the charming gift shop and perusing the well-stocked garden centre. But visiting the centre’s café for a meal, snack or just a drink – to be enjoyed inside or out – is a must. Greeted by smiling staff and tempted by the delicious lunch options on offer, I enjoyed a lunch of homemade pork pie with melt-in-the-mouth pastry encasing the succulent pork filling, served with fresh salad from the kitchen garden. Indulging in a slice of mouth-wateringly moist lemon polenta cake was the perfect way to finish. Already known for its fabulous food, Cranborne Garden Centre is a wonderful place to visit with friends for a relaxing lunch or coffee, not to mention a superb set menu supper cooked by talented chef, Declan Chubb.
