Built in 1933, and later named in celebration of the Silver Jubilee of George V and Queen Mary, The Jubilee Restaurant has evolved over the years to its present charming guise. Located to the north of Colchester, it is easily accessible from the surrounding local villages and main road networks - very lucky for anyone who enjoys hearty and delicious British food.

Taken over in 1985 by the Hinkins family, and still run by family members, The Jubilee Restaurant offers a friendly and homely environment for diners to enjoy their own brand of honest home cooking. They serve a traditional English cooked breakfast all day and, from 11am, offer an extensive lunch menu too. Every dish is packed with ingredients sourced as locally and freshly as possible. From home-roasted joints of meat and homemade pies made with their own pastry, to fresh fish and chicken dishes, the regular menu provides an extensive choice supplemented by daily changes on the specials board. The tempting dessert menu offers a variety of choice too, all homemade and offering great value for money.

The Jubilee is fully licensed, with an excellent selection of draught lagers and bottled ales available, and a wine list to match. There is ample car parking and seating for approximately 90 guests, with a patio area offering an additional 30 seats for alfresco dining in the warmer months. Like the couple to which The Jubilee pays homage, you too will feel like royalty within the wonderful British comfort that this restaurant provides.
