To dine at Thai House is to enter into a retreat, away from the hustle and bustle of Chichester’s city centre. It is an elegant oasis, where you are received with polite greetings of sawasdee (hello in Thai) from the refined and graceful staff. We were each handed a copy of the menu to peruse and found an extensive range of dishes that catered for every heat preference, from those who prefer milder options through to those who like it seriously spicy. We tried a few starters including crisp spring rolls with a succulent duck filling, as well as the sweet chicken satay. Our mains comprised a mild yellow curry with chicken, while my favourite of Thai green curry with prawns didn’t disappoint, thanks to its sublime mix of subtle and delicate flavours. The complimentary fruit that comes with all evening meals was also a nice and refreshing touch. Overall, this was an exquisite and memorable meal. Definitely a Thai to try, whether by dining in or taking advantage of the takeaway service.
