Follow this light option with a bit of indulgence; the cioccolato fondente – a warm chocolate pudding with almonds, Kahlua and vanilla ice cream – will leave you grinning from ear to ear. Likewise the prices are sure to please, with starters and desserts priced from £4.65 and mains from £7.95. Bottles of wine start at just £13.95 and prosecco is available for just £4.95 a glass, so it would seem wrong not to enjoy a glass or two.
Each Carluccio’s has its own food shop, stocked with beautifully packaged specialist artisan products sourced from small, Italian family suppliers. These include top-quality regional olive oils and vinegars, the very best quality dried pasta and risotto rice, plus speciality biscuits and irresistible savoury treats. During Easter and Christmas there is an abundance of gorgeous products and gifts in store that would be impossible to find anywhere else.
