The Old Post Office is one of Cardiff’s hidden treasures. Chef patron Simon Kealy creates his dishes around the seasons and uses the finest Welsh produce. This is simple, good food, the way it should be. Start with warming ham and pearl barley broth, perhaps followed by delicate fillets of sea bass, served with spinach, girolles and new potatoes. Vegetarians can choose from their own selection of treats, desserts are a must, and Sundays offer brunches and hearty roasts.

To accompany the food you will find the wine list has something for all tastes, with a selection of quality house wines, through to an eclectic range for the more discerning wine drinker. With six comfortable bedrooms, all en-suite, you can make your visit to The Old Post Office last that much longer – and you’ll never want to leave.
