Open: Open daily from 10am

When you visit Mamma Amalfi you may find yourself sitting in the courtyard, the dining room or kitchen of Mamma's house to enjoy the Italian inspired dishes they bring to you.

The menu tells the story of Mamma Rosa who came from the Italian coastal town of Amalfi and would cook traditional Italian meals for her large family. As her children grew up and moved away they would tell stories of the fabulous food cooked for them by their Mamma. The story ends with Mamma opening up her house to visitors and sharing her cooking with a new family.

Starters range from £1.75 to £7.45 for a sharing platter and include Gamberi Piccante, tiger prawns, garlic butter, chilli, white wine and tomato, served with rustic bread, and Selezione d'Amalfi, a platter of tomato and oregano chicken wings, bruschetta, deep fried cheese and garlic pizza bread.

Main courses range from £5.25 to £12.95 and include pizzas, pastas, salads and secondi dishes, including Merluzzo al Pomodoro (roasted cod topped with a salsa of olives, onions, tomato and basil served with new potatoes and green beans) and Pollo alla Milanese (pan fried chicken breast coated in breadcrumbs and parmesan served with a choice of spaghetti Napoli or fries). Desserts include tiramisu and the decadent Coppa di Amalfi (nutty chocolate fudge brownie with vanilla and chocolate ice cream, chocolate and caramel sauces and crushed amaretti biscuits).

The weekday fixed price menu offers 2 courses for just £7.95 and 3 courses for £9.95. Mamma Amalfi is family friendly, with the Menu Bambino offering a main course, dessert and drink for just £4.95.

So whatever the occasion, come and enjoy some real Italian ospitalità.
