Alyn Williams’ abundance of accolades stands testament to the high-quality dining experience the restaurant offers. Visit for an exquisite meal on Christmas day, and be treated to an eight-course feast. Courses include pumpkin veloute with Scottish langoustine and Parmesan, fillet of Galloway beef matched with foie gras, truffled beef chips and ponzu-glazed carrots, and a flavoursome dessert of gingerbread parfait with clementine, jam crisps and meringue – yum.

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city in this cosy, uniquely decorated eatery. The restaurant boasts plenty of nooks and crannies, offering diners an intimate meal. Having occupied the same quaint spot in Putney for over 25 years, Emile’s has built a reputation for offering delicious fare in an informal setting. The menu combines French traditional cooking techniques with British flair, to excellent effect. Visit over the festive period and enjoy pan-fried filled of trout with a salted hazelnut crumble to begin, or perhaps shoulder of pork enhanced by pickled Jerusalem artichoke and truffle mayonnaise. Next, choose from tempting options like wild duck with pickled grapes and beet purée, and saddle of wild boar accompanied by pig’s cheek sausage and a fermented black radish.

The Dorchester
Why not pop along to The Dorchester this Christmas for a spot of afternoon tea?
