James Martin Experiences

This August, a one-of-a-kind experience could be yours at The Kitchen – Chewton Glen welcomes celebrity TV chef James Martin, who will be taking the kitchen by storm during his stay. There are two opportunities to see James in action, if you’re willing to splash out. If you’re a budding chef or serial food-lover, you could experience a unique cookery session in which you and a small group will watch James whiz up two of his favourite dishes, and then recreate them with his guidance. Alternatively, if you’d rather not get your hands dirty, you can spend the evening watching James demonstrate a delicious tasting-style menu for you to enjoy – anecdotes and banter included!

8th August: £350 cookery session per person, £500 dinner per person

Cookery Courses

From cooking to entertain, to cooking for wellbeing, from adventurous global dishes to Chewton classics, and from half or full day courses to children’s classes, everything is covered. Don’t worry – there’s baking too! For a day course, the morning will start with coffee and home-baked pastries, before a tour of the garden and greenhouse. You’ll then be taken to your workstation, yours for the day, where you’ll learn new skills before making your own indulgent creation.

Day courses: start from £155 and include refreshments, lunch, equipment and ingredients. Half-day classes: £85 per person. Children’s courses: £45 per child.
