Paul Evans

Burlington Restaurant welcomes a new head chef at the helm and we hope he’s here to stay.

Situated at the gateway to the Dales on the Bolton Abbey Estate is The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa, where you’ll find the Burlington Restaurant – one of Yorkshire’s finest foodie destinations. Picture rolling hills, green pastures and bags of chic charm and you’ll be placed here.

Plenty of leading chefs have passed through the doors of the Burlington and Paul Evans is next in line. He joins The Devonshire Hotel & Restaurant Group from the Michelin-starred Lords of the Manor Hotel in the Cotswolds. Boasting an exemplary track record in his culinary career, it’s easy to see why the Burlington has retained four blooming AA Rosettes.

Showcasing Paul’s pool of talent will be a menu filled with astonishing dishes that look almost too good to eat (although you won’t be able to resist). Exceptional quality and exquisite presentation will never fail to delight.

Paul says, ‘I love working with local produce and certainly the Dales region. The Bolton Abbey estate itself is going to be inspiring and there’s a lot to explore. I’m looking forward to creating new dishes to reflect the best that the area has to offer for our customers’ enjoyment. The Devonshire Arms has an incredible reputation so I’m looking forward to the new role and heading up the great team there.’

Paul and his family will soon be setting up home and planting roots in the Yorkshire Dales – watch this space.

Joele Forrester

Joele feels Hermione Granger’s pain of having a strange name and longs for people to be able to pronounce her name correctly (like guacamole!). Never one to take the lift, she still gets out of breath climbing the three flights of stairs to the office and is a lover of bookshops, vegetarian food and flavoured tea.
