This year we get to celebrate the 20th National BBQ Week. While thoughts of the barbecue normally conjure up images of sizzling sausages and vegetable kebabs, there’s also something else that those grills are exceptional at making, and that’s sweet treats.

A peanut butter-topped take on the classic American smore, taken up a notch by a brownie base, these ultra-indulgent treats reach gooey perfection when placed on the barbie.

A fan of pineapple upside-down cake? If so, these doughnuts topped with pineapple slices could be just the ticket.

If you’re not a chocolate fan, these hasselback sweet potatoes may be the perfect alternative. Top with mashmallows, pecans, raisins and a drizzle of maple syrup and watch your pudding transform into melted heaven.

Satisfy your sweet-tooth with something a little healthier with these grilled peaches, drizzled in lavender honey. Pair with a scoop of mascarpone ice cream for that hot and cold contrast.

Flat waffles are a thing of the past. These waffle balls will handily hold all of the gooey goodness – in this case that’s fresh fruit and mint ice cream.

Bananas and barbecues is a pairing as old as time itself. Take your grilled banana to the next level with some raspberries, pomegranate seeds and some creamy queso fresco.

Grill your pie to perfection by placing your skillet on the grill. This beauty is filled with sweet peaches, raspberries and cherries. Yum.
